Club EvMed: The behavioral immune system and fear of COVID-19
Join us for a conversation with Alfonso Troisi, Department of Systems Medicine at the University of Rome Tor Vergata School of Medicine. He will be leading a discussion on the selective pressures that led to evolution of a human behavioral immune system, and how the resulting psychological and behavioral adaptations to avoid infection are relevant to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees are encouraged to read his brief article, “Fear of COVID-19: Insights from evolutionary behavioral science” (https://doi.org/10.36131/CN20200207).

May 7, 2020 12:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
