19:03
When you say it's an unrestricted award, it sounds like it is unrestricted when applied to a specific project/initiative that meets the award criteria but that it cannot be used as unrestricted income for the organization as a whole. Is that right?

19:43
@Anne - No, the award is completely unrestricted and can be used in any way the winning organization sees fit

21:06
The selection committee will be made up of selected CASE staff and Advisory Council members. You can find a complete list of these people on the CASE website

24:13
Note: Your scaling strategy MAY involve growing your overall organization; however, we also believe that there are many other scaling strategies beyond organizational growth. We will be talking about scaling in future information sessions (see details on the CASE website).

24:25
Hello! Calling in from Creative Action Institute - we are HQed in Boston but have programming in Africa and Latin America. QuestionGiven how COVID-19 has dramatically changed how social impact organizations are delivering on their missions and program implementation, the 3 years of track record can be shown for projects in their pre-COVID iterations, but today, that looks different and new innovations have been made. To what extent do we need to demonstrate evidence for adaptations made?

25:51
@Louisa - We understand that COVID-19 may have had significant impact on your work. I recommend that you share your evidence of impact for your pre-COVID work and then share more about where you are in analyzing your COVID-related changes.

26:13
Will there only be a single $100,000 award?

26:17
Thanks Robyn!

26:49
@Anne - Yes, we will award one $100,000 (USD) prize per year for at least the next three years.

28:33
I have a question

28:47
Okay

29:00
It says that only the first 1000 applications will be considered?

29:00
Greetings everyone. My name is Sijabuliso currently in Botswana and a fundraising intern from International Development Innovation Network-SADC Consortium (IDIN-SADC Consortium)

29:28
How many applications are you anticipating?

29:30
@Neo - Yes, we will review the first 1,000 applications. T

29:45
Does this mean that applying quickly before listening to all the webinars

29:45
I have a question — Hi Robyn — we currently have a single founder/CEO, but are in the midst of converting into an employee-owned co-op (of three.) Is that something we need to be mindful of as far as the due diligence phase of the application process?

29:46
Great!

29:50
@Danielle- This is our pilot year, so we're looking forward to learning more.

29:57
A question from CARE Social Ventures - given that you are looking for enterprises that have already demonstrated impact, is there a level of existing scale that you would consider TOO large to be a good fit?

30:15
Does the age of the organization matter, coming from an organization that is about 30 years old?

30:35
Ok that sounds good! Thank you!

30:59
Will you communicate out if the number of applications starts to get close as far as applicants? I’d like to attend all the sessions to ensure we have a strong application but I don’t want to miss out if you get early applicants.

31:02
@Dani - We understand that organizational governing structure may change. We'll want to understand your structure process and strategy.

31:23
Thank you!

31:24
@Robyn - gotcha. Thanks!

31:41
@Naita - We care most of about having at least 3 years of impact, more than we do age of organization.

31:49
Will there be visibility opportunities for finalists or semi-finalists as well?

32:10
Is there any preference for globally vs. US focused organizations?

32:11
@Danielle - Yes, will communicate if we are getting close to our max of 1000 applications. Keep an eye on the CASE website and social media channels.

32:24
I have the same question as @Danielle

32:39
I am interested in the answer to the question from Steer about early application vs applications after the webinairs are complete?

32:46
@Danielle - We are considering what additional visibility we may be able to provide to semi-finalists. It's helpful to hear that that may be of interest.

32:51
Are organizations not US-based elegible for this prize?

33:08
We are an internal accelerator for CARE with multiple social ventures - is it possible for one organization to submit multiple applications, or should they submit separately?

33:17
Thank you very much! 😊

33:30
@Stephanie - No we do not have a preference for U.S. vs Global orgs vs. orgs located in other non-US countries.

33:51
@Meg - We recommend that an organization only submit one application.

33:53
Is there a preference for applicants who have engaged with the CASE Smart Impact Capital program?

34:15
@Meg - organizations should submit separately

34:19
Yes, that answers - thank you!

34:39
@Danielle - No, there is not a preference for applicants who have engaged formally with CASE Smart Impact Capital

35:23
Thank you! This has been helpful.

35:42
