If we have a video in our power point how do we be sure the sound is also shared?
John Prager
40:05
Same question. Do you check "Share computer sound"?
Beth anderson

Betina Huntwork
41:15
When you check the Optimize for Video button, the share computer sound button will click automatically.
Sheldon Bleiweiss
42:35
Can you have the Powerpoint presentation already open on your desktop before you click to share?
Betina Huntwork
43:10
Yes, in fact that's what I would recommend you do
Marv Meyer
44:53
While you are sharing your screen, can you also view at least some of the students?
Stephan Wittkowsky
46:36
How do you place your power point presentation on the screen. Is the screen also called the "canvas"?
Edwin Cox
46:58
When you are sharing an app, does the app have "focus"? That is, do all keystrokes and mouse movements go to the app, not Zoom?
John Matthews
47:35
I'm very glad for your having practice sessions.
Ken Chiha
48:12
If you cannot see your students while suing PowerPoint, does that make it a useless to use during discussions, etc.?
Betina Huntwork
51:22
When you share screen, you'll get a window were you can see 4 people. You can use arrows to see everyone else. we can go into to this in my more detail during the party line.
Ken Chiha
51:53
Thank you
Marv Meyer
51:54
While you are sharing you screen I see thumbnails of you plus 6 others on the right hand side of my screen. Can I get this view as a presenter?

53:22
Can you play videos that are embedded in Powerpoint just by clicking the link in Powerpoint?
Alita Bluford
55:29

Sheldon Bleiweiss
56:26
This is becoming too detailed technically without covering basics
maria piskor
57:30

Frank Fee
59:49
I have been happily surprised at how quick my animations work. Is there anything that might slow them down?
Sheldon Bleiweiss
01:02:41
Can we get back to basics?
Murat

cschillin
01:12:31
Please recommend a YouTube downloader tool.
Marv Meyer
01:15:43
YouTube typically shows short ads prior to a video. Since we are using the Duke OLLI system, are those eliminated?
Murat
01:15:46
if we’re supposed to see all that. we did not
cschillin
01:16:12
How can I sign up for the puppy class :o)
Kris Door
01:19:40
When I have used videos in my lectures I have always put the link into the slide. It is seamless and I recommend
Sheldon Bleiweiss
01:21:11
I have had videos imbedded in my Powerpoint and that worked in my classes. Are you suggesting to not use that and use the video links instead
Chris McLeod
01:21:24
Using Duke's Zoom account does not impact ads on YouTube. You'll still get ads on You Tube, unless you have a premium You Tube acct.

Chris McLeod
01:29:34
Howard will post the slide deck on the Instructor Website...as well as the recording.
Kris Door
01:34:42
Ah, I think this session has become more complex than need be. Maybe people can work out difficulties on a one on one basis.
cschillin
01:36:08
